“At Elbit, you determine what your job is going to be like and have the ability to take advantage of teamwork and enjoy the strength of the group”

Being singled out as an outstanding employee took Dan completely by surprise, and it’s an acknowledgement he was happy to share with his team: “I’m happy for our success as a team, because teamwork is the greatest way to lead to change,” he says. Dan joined Elbit five years ago, after gaining extensive experience in component engineering. “At Elbit, you decide what your job is going to be like, and you have opportunities to take advantage of teamwork, and benefit from the strength of the Elbit group.”

My story

Dan’s first major project in Elbit began with the very first outbreak of Covid-19, with the manufacture of ventilators project. This year, the company has also managed to overcome the crisis in allocations caused by delays in global supply chains, which led to constraints on the allocation of electronical components. “In the field of component engineering, we work with all the company’s units, collaborating on new projects and supporting and maintaining existing projects,” he explains.

Recently, the markets have been experiencing strategic changes, culminating in an accelerated shift towards local manufacturing, with the aspiration of concentrating knowledge and production within the target country. According to Dan, consequently, one of his biggest jobs has become to work with the subsidiaries in Europe and the U.S. “I work as the contact person for finding procurement and creating ties between the distributors and consumers. It’s a job that involves multiple interfaces – both internally, within the company, and externally.”

Dan grew up in Haifa and graduated from the “Bosmat” vocational school. He graduated BA studies in finance and management and achieved an engineering degree in the Open University of Israel. He’s married and a father to three grown children. “I grew up in a warm, loving household. My father was a holocaust survivor,” he says. Throughout childhood, he would hear his father’s stories and when he turned 13, he had a joint bar mitzvah with his own father, who hadn’t had the opportunity to do so during World War II. Three years ago, Dan joined a project on behalf of the company to keep holocaust survivors company, assuaging their loneliness. The conversations and connections formed there have become tight bonds that last to this day. “I met a lovely woman there, and we talked about everything. Everything besides the holocaust.”

They say about me

“Dan is a fountain of knowledge and is an inseparable part of the development and NPI process. With his perseverance and creative thinking, Dan manages to find effective solutions long after everyone else has given up.”
